I guess I love the ocean.
This is what I drew during Bible Study. Don't think this means I don't pay attention in Bible Study. I'm pretty ADD, so when I'm doodling is actually when I'm paying the most attention. So - be flattered if we're talking and I'm drawing!

Sleepover: Quote o' the day
Laura: So this post office right up here closes at noon?
Kim: Um... or at 12. Oh, wait. That's the same thing, isn't it?

concierto
Well, everyone else is doing it, so why not me?
Concerts, concerts everywhere!
. June 21: Emiliana Torrini. $?, Iota (she's too boring for you, G. sorry)
. June 22: Get Up Kids & French Kicks. $18, 9:30 club.
. June 28: Eels. $25, 9:30 club.
. July 1: The Whips. $8, Black Cat.
. July 7: The Eames Era. $? at DC9
. July 15: VHS or Beta. $10, Black Cat.
. July 17: Plain White Ts. $12, 9:30 club.
. July 19: De La Soul. $25, 9:30 club.
So most of these are a) expensive, and b) um... expensive?
But ne that I REEEEALY want to see is the Eames Era show. I hardly know anything about them, but I've liked every song I've heard. They're just so darn chipper.
Anyway. If you want to go to any of these with me, just say the words and we'll go :)

hurry UP!!!!
Has it ever occured to you that life is one, long game of waiting? Ever since kindergarten, all you do is wait. At that tender age, you wait for the bus. You wait for the school day to end. You wait until the rain goes away so you can play outside again...
My entire school experience, in fact, can be broken down into chunks of time that I spent waiting for breaks. After summer, I waited until the first 3 day weekend to come along. Then fall break. Then Christmas break. then spring break, then summer break. And for 12 years it cycled through that process. Each of those chunks was broken into smaller bits, such as waiting for my next horse show, or every Saturday night when Drea, Lauren, Karen, Katie and I had our weekly slumber party.
After school you go to college, where you **wait** to start a career. Then you wait for pay raises, and new job assignments, and eventually you will wait for retirement...
But now I am waiting, most impatiently, to get my photos back from Italy. I know I just mailed them out on Monday, which means that, to be fair, I shouldn't expect them until Saturday (or, at the earliest, tomorrow). Yet I've been unable to stop myself from checking the mail every day - even Tuesday!!
I am also trying, most impatiently, to get a second job. 8 - 10 hours a week at Container Store just won't pay my summer bills. Well... actually, my winter bills either, but I've been living off of saved money since I got back from Japan, and now it's just not there anymore, so action is being taken.
And, in a nutshell, that is what I have done this week, with the exception of a few chores, like taking out the trash and paying some bills. Waited for pictures and wondered what summer job I should get.
Oh. And I'm also waiting for my laudry to finish.
